About the author

Andrew Guerin is a UK postgraduate student researching the ecology of artificial reef systems, particularly those associated with offshore oil and gas platforms in the North Sea.

Outside of work his interests include cycling (on and off-road), hiking, SCUBA diving and driving, but he’s willing to have a go at most outdoor pursuits. His reading preference is for popular science and science fiction.

He is an avowed atheist and aspires to be a rationalist and skeptic.

This blog is initially intended for mainly topics involving marine ecology, but it’s very likely that it will almost immediately become a general blog about such topics as catch the authors interest at the time.
